Jesus in Mary’s Womb What a blessing was the coming of Christ into the world on that wondrous night! But when you reflect for a moment, Jesus was in the world nine months or so before that wintery night. He started out just like all humans, growing from a fertilized egg into the fetal stages and then being born. WHAT IS MORE! Scientists have learned through 4D uterine studies that all babies learn to smile, laugh and cry in the womb. The child also learns the cadence of her or his mother’s voice and can even recognize songs the mother sings. The child, of course, begins to recognize other people in the mother’s life, such as the father, children in the family, and more. The child kicks, smiles, looks around, and reacts to the slightest glimmers of light that may show through the woman’s vagina in rare moments. So, Jesus was swimming around in Mary’s uterus, spinning, kicking, sucking His thumb, smiling and laughing and crying. Just like us, He was fully human. He was also fully divine. Some more interesting facts are that since blood is constantly being interchanged between mother and child, some of the child’s cells become extant throughout the mother. Some of the child’s cells settle in the mother and stay there for years or forever. Scientists have found cells with the child’s DNA in mother’s brains. SO THE CHILD AND MOTHER ARE TRULY ONE IN SO MANY WAYS. Our heavenly Father chose Mary to bear His only son. She was and is highly blessed and esteemed. Like in the Bible, she proclaims, “All generations will call me blessed.” I wish you and your families the most blessed, joyous Christmas! |
